assignment Admirals Drop to Dead Last

The Admirals just couldn't keep up with the impressive home run power of Dead Last, dropping game 1 of their Wednesday night double header.

There seemed to be an air of optimism that the Admirals could notch their first W of the season seeing:
• They were up 5-4 in their season opener versus this opponent before the game was called due to weather
• The team's spark plug was making his season debut
• The team was finally all dressed in unison? 🤔

Sure the Admirals held a slim lead versus this opponent in their season opener before the game was called, but it didn't take long for Dead Last to show they had shaken the rust from their 2020 COVID hiatus from the league, smashing out five s in the first 4 innings.

Even despite the impressive display of Dead Last hitting, that said air of Admirals optimism remained going into the 6th, and umpire later-called final inning, as the they were down only 10-13 holding the hammer.

After the Admirals recorded an out from the inning's leadoff hitter, the Dead Last parade continued, pounding out 3 more, plating their next 7 batters in a row and posting a snowman before the Admirals could record the inning's final out.

Now down eleven, the Admirals sticks couldn't respond as they sad tromboned their way to posting a goose egg to make the final score 10-21 (and final home run tally 1-8).

Boxscore:

Team 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Final
Dead Last 3 0 7 3 0 8 X 21
Admirals 3 1 4 2 0 0 X 10
