assignment Admirals Score Season Best in Win vs. Dbacks

The Admirals scored a season best 30 runs against the Diamondbacks in game 1 of their Tuesday night doubleheader to remain undefeated at 10-0-1.

With the Sign Out sheet filled with black, Logan "Kenter", son of Admirals' pitching legend Mark, played in his 3rd Admirals game in a row, except as a teammate this time.

The Admirals knew they'd be in for some tough competition on this night with the Dbacks needing some wins to snatch the remaining B Division playoff spot.

With Duran MIA either at a Storm event, or car shopping, or on a last-minute getaway with his now-fiancee, or possibly doing something else that has since moved up his priority list, the Admirals favourite Storm (Bob) started the game with a Duran-like inside the park home run.

Unrattled, the Dbacks D tightened, and were able to get to their sticks after allowing only one more run to score.

In the home half, after Mark stuck out the proverbial-tough-out Pat looking, a Dbacks triple by Carl, double by Jamie, and by James followed, and just like that the Dbacks were up 3-2. The Dbacks got it started it again with a single, but the Admirals were able to escape the inning after turning a double play on the next batter.

In the 2nd, an Admirals hit parade showed up as they went on to plate 6 highlighted by a Beasty Beatty and held the Dbacks to 2 runs to take an 8-5 lead.

After scoring only a singleton in the 3rd, the Admirals hit parade continued, scoring the max 7 runs per inning in the 4th and 5th innings while holding the Dbacks to 9 runs over that span to build a 23-14 lead.

In the 6th, the Admirals scratched in another 3, but the Dbacks doubled that run total to cut their deficit in half (6, to save everyone the math).

In the final and open 7th inning, highlighted by a Blissful BJ , the Admirals tacked on another 4 to build their lead to 10.

Perhaps distracted by his wife Heather sitting in the stands, not sure BJ realized that he had just accomplished the distinguished feat of:

In the bottom half, the Admirals were able to record the final out of the inning after allowing 2 meaningless runs to score.
