assignment Presidential Lecture Inspires Half-Admirals Past Ducklings

A short Admirals squad received a presidential lecturing before getting back to their winning ways against the always tough Ugly Ducklings.

With the sign out sheet filled in black for this game, a game ex-ducklings, BJ and Mark had circled in their calendars for weeks, the Admirals had to call on the services of Bob Peppler, who was making his NSP debut with the Admirals, to field a team of 10.

A late sign out that put the team at 9, had them facing the daunting task of playing with 3 outfielders. With the Ducks facing the same predicament, Mark, on a popped tire, graciously stepped up and volunteered to play catch for both teams without having to bat (and risk further injury).

Before this game could start, the Admirals were put on notice re: their "umpire abusing" ways by NSP league President Len Healey, NSP Co-Ed Vice-President Jeff Ralston, and MIA Men's Division Vice-President Jamie Arsenault, and were asked to model their behaviour like the celestial Jomo. 😲

At first, the lecture appeared to stun the Admirals, as they were sat down in order after a lead-off walk by Antonio.

But possibly angered for having to sit through a lecture for an incident he had no involvement in, Bob, deserving a lecture for playing for the WMSPL Storm 🤣, sparked the Admirals sticks with a stand up triple, leading to 4, 7, and 6 runs crossing the plate over the following 3 innings while holding the Ducks to 6 over that span.

The Admirals flashed some leather over the final two innings holding the Ducks to a run in each of those innings, while tacking on an additional 6 over than span to make the final 23-9.
