In game two of their double header, the Admirals moved diamonds to face the Combines.
In what was a very close affair in their first game, the Admirals knew the Combines would be out to avenge their earlier loss.
And boy did they!
The Combines came out blazing, batting through the order to take a 5-0 lead; a lead they would not relinquish.
After shutting down the Admirals offense 1-2-3 in the bottom half of 1, the Combines again batted through the order, plating 4 more runs to take a 9-0 lead.
The Combines defensive showcase resumed in the 2nd and 3rd again sitting the Admirals batters down in order.
In the 4th, the Admirals finally broke the trend and sent 4 batters to the plate (small victories) and managed to keep the Combines off the board over the previous 2 innings to keep the score 9-0.
In the 5th, the Combines plated 4 more runs but the Admirals sent 5 batters to the plate and were able to score one to prevent the skunk (more small victories).
The Admirals D held strong in the 6th and 7th holding the Combines off the score board, and managed to score one run in each to make the final 13-3.
